When your team comes up with a valid reason for owning a handgun apart from “Old farts said I can” and “My right to shoot stuff whenever I damn well feel like it trumps your right to a significantly safer society” then we might listen. Until then: we are going to laugh at selfish people especially when one of their favourite go-to reasons for their selfish choices backfires in such a hilarious way.
