That’s a shame about the guy not developing any powers. Along the same lines, my dad was bitten by a bat last summer and has yet to manifest any special powers. Sometimes I feel like the comic book industry has been lying to us about this type of thing.

I’ve actually been bitten by radioactive fleas. No sign yet of super-jumping abilities or an armoured carapace.

I turned off my computer and unplugged the modem when a thunder storm moved in. The end of the wire slid down against the iron bed frame and I sat on the bed to comfort my dog who was spooked by the noise. Lightning struck a pole somewhere and traveled through the wire and the metal bed frame and into the back of my leg. It felt like a giant soft sledge hammer hit the back of my leg and caused me to kick my poor dog who was already stressed. Poor guy totally didn’t understand what was happening.

Wow! It’s great that you and your dog survived that very strange event… one that – given the development from start to finish – came off as an (uncharacteristically short) Rube Goldberg domino effect!
