This. He lives in Corona, which is a pretty arid part of Riverside County, which is right next to my part of the OC. We’ve got tons of rattlers around here.
He’s either new to the area, or an idiot (or both).
I’ve moved rattlers before, but not without snake tongs (not quite the same thing as BBQ tongs…)
