As much as I don’t want the idiot-in-chief to accomplish anything during his tenure, I think it would be hilarious if after 8 years of “mooslim Obummer’s gonna take our guns,” Trump actually did it.
Any gun control legislation passed by this administration is going to be designed to fail. And the enforcement of such legislation is likely to be conducted with extreme race and class bias.
Honestly, I think that pressuring Trump to act on guns is an insanely dangerous thing to do. It’s an open invitation to disarm the left, and provides an easy excuse for massive police abuse in Black and immigrant communities.
And really, that’s why I don’t want him to actually accomplish anything. Everything he does is from a position of total ignorance. There’s no way any legislation under his rule is going to be any good, even if it sounds that way at first.
