We at ShyHorseShit publishing know nothing about book tours but fortunately The First Lady and her entourage set us straight. Our bad.

Anyone who touches this family of grifters is infected by the urge to do the same.
And yeah, I doubt that the vanity press was trying to [deep tobacco-scarred Slovenian accent] “Be Best”.
It’s only a mistake if they refuse to pay.
The CNN newscast said she had 2 interviews on Fox and no fee was paid by them for interviews. CNN also made sure to mention she has had other appearances made at events throughout the year and 250k seems to be the standard she was paid to do an appearance.
If CNN had a pair they would have set-up a blow-up sex doll and asked it questions with the responses being audio clips of Natasha Fatale (of Rocky & Bullwinkle)
If there is a skyhorse above you, don’t look up!
They should get Laura Benanti on to play her Melania Trump character from the Late Night with Colbert. I’m sure she’d provide just as much insight as we’d get out of the actual Melania Trump and they’d be out a lot less money.
A read about skyhorse suggests a super sleazy trump/conspiracy prone outfit with nothing in their catalog that would suggest they’ve ever had a reason to do this before so, a mistake is out of the question. No surprise. They do kids books as well. Yikes.
“To me you look like number two, know what I mean?”

Maybe they can charge court appearance fees. That’s a growth plan, right there.
“The grift is coming from inside the house!”
I actually thought of that.
We saw it in the theater when it first came out.
Peter Falk said the line, the theater laughed, one guy in the back said out loud, “I don’t get it.”
A few minutes later the theater was quiet, same guy in the back, “now I get it.”
One of the few things I remember like it was yesterday.
Well of course Fox got a free interview. They know Fox isn’t going to ask her any tough questions. That’s friendly territory.
This sounds to me like the price someone quotes you for a job they really don’t want to do. They clearly didn’t want CNN interviewing Melania, but they wanted to be able to say they offered CNN an interview. The mistake they made was in thinking, for some dumb reason, that CNN wouldn’t make the offer public.
And let’s be clear, it’s that she got free publicity for her book. Any benefit that Faux got was indirect.
You get a lot of world class squinting and pouting for your $250,000, but I’m not sure what else.
