“She remains angry and doesn’t want to hear [the alleged hush money payment] mentioned,” the source tells PEOPLE magazine. “She is aware of who her husband is and keeps her life upbeat with her own family and a few close pool boys.”

I really thought that she’d divorce him once they were kicked out of the White House (something she never signed up for). Apparently these types of couples alter their arrangements regularly as circumstances and compensation offers change.

It’s not like she spends a lot of time with him anyway. IIRC she didn’t even move into the White House until Trump had been President for the better part of a year and even then they had separate bedrooms.

If he’s going to try for president again, he still needs a decorative wife on his arm so that he can project the “solid family man” image required for the job. I don’t think Stormy Daniels is going to step up to fill the vacancy if Melania quits (and I imagine that Trump has her on a pretty iron-clad contract to make sure that she doesn’t quit).

Also notable is that nobody was there on the tarmac to greet him in NY. No crowds, no MAGA flags, no Marge Greene, no Kari Lake, or any other seditionist boot licker.

He’s alone on this one except for his lawyer wives.

I figured she was going to leave him after he lost in 2016, but then he didn’t and perhaps she felt like the only way out was through. And now she’s in this limbo where he loses in 2024 and then – inevitably – tries yet again in 2028.

Might craft a concise math equation, with all the exotic symbols one can muster, to express the now well understood relation: The probability of being a horrible human being is inversely proportional (squared?) to the social distance from the reeking orange tumor.

I wonder if it’s even simpler. Say they have a prenup–probably a safe bet. Regardless of whether she’s well taken care of on paper (which I doubt), she’d never get a penny from him. His whole shitshow is run on grift and outright theft, and he wouldn’t treat her any differently than he’s treated every other person in his employ who never got paid. If she wants to maintain the (gaudy, fraudulent) lifestyle she’s accustomed to, the only way to do so is to stay with him and let fraud pay the bills. I doubt any of the right wing media would be interested in paying her any real money, so she doesn’t even have that safety net. Fox already has as many blond, late-20s/early-30s white women they need for their “White Supremacy Hour of Hate: Women’s Edition” talk shows.

But there’s so many other options! NewsMax, OANN, RT

I suppose the added bonus is that if she ends up being interviewed by the likes of Ben Shapiro, she will also be punished by being forced to listen to Ben Shapiro.

The real wild card would be how the MAGA faithful would treat her after she betrayed Dear Leader. She might go from “hot European model Trump scored” to “old foreign hag who might be here illegally.” I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump himself further climbed Mount Hypocrisy by saying the latter himself.

This makes no sense. If she’d wanted to do porn, nothing was stopping her. She in fact did some posing in men’s magazines that skirted the definition. However, clearly, she had other plans for her life… I’m sure she’s probably regretting some of them now, but here we are…

But hey… who gives a shit about facts when you can throw around misogynistic, wild accusations that don’t fit any of those facts! So much more fun that way! /s

Like you said, I suspect ignoring the orange elephant in the resort and playing with the hot and cold running poolboys is a whole lot easier than going to “work” for Fox, even if that work is just a few minutes in front of the camera every day. As it is, I don’t suppose much of anything changes for her, even when he goes to trial. If he’s convicted and Mar-e-lago chucks his ass out, well, then she’ll probably need a change of scenery. But until then, she’s probably content just chllin’ like a villain. Because she is.

Ivanka did a lot of that work once 45 was in office, and now she’s distancing herself. :woman_shrugging:t4: Of course, she might be busy preparing for the cases against the Kushners.

I imagine that is what her beach towel says.

Actually… I kind of wonder if him getting an indictment would result in a get out of marriage free card? In the sense that whatever sort of pre-nup they had could be voided to her advantage?

True…

The fact that 45 is known for not paying his bills and she’s likely to pursue child support doesn’t sound good. I wonder if a court would consider that and force a one-time payment, assuming he has any money in his own name.

I think that’s still likely. A divorce of an estate that complicated takes time so it would be unsurprising to me if early negotiations are underway. She’s said publicly in response to him running again that “this is not the life I want” or something to that effect. That and she’s spending even less time with him than when he was in office. They’ve lived in separate cities for years now.

Her divorce lawyer may also have counselled her to wait and see how these criminal charges shake out, since that could dramatically effect her leverage in the divorce.

She’s not stupid (also not the multilingual genius she and dRumpf have claimed she is) so I would bet that she’s squirreled away a few million $$ somewhere to look after herself, her son and her parents if things go sideways. My experiences with the very wealthy shows a large percentage of them have fiscal go-bags in case things go for shit (for them personally, not the rest of us as a society).
