Melania Trump's convention speech plagiarized from Michelle Obama

I think they did clean up several areas. I know they revitalized parts near the river, which looked fine when I visited.

The Cleveland Clinic is a jewel in a run down areas.

At any rate, cities flux. Hopefully they can bounce back some of the run down areas. KC had a ghost town of a down town, now it is the hip place to be.

In a week the RNC will be gone and then back to business as usual.

Winner winner chicken dinner! (to quote the great @Papasan)

But sorry, not a hundred, only fifteen. At least it’s enough for a chicken dinner!

Come on what? I am sure if Michelle O wore the same dress as said plagiarist, she would howl at the repeat performance.

However, I never understood why candidates’ spouses are expected to meddle in such affairs in the first place. Fame by proxy is just lower on the list than getting to mamba on Dancing with the Stars…

If you can raise the funding I will see about organising the monkeys.

In reality, I doubt they would get on well with conventional typewriters. When I was at U, pre-personal computer era, there were two sorts of people writing essays; those who had already learned to type and efuigc dcwed Qenefkp.

Idi Amin might have been a murderous, vindictive, psychopathic thug but he was our thug. And he did Britain two big favours; he expelled the Ugandan Asians, who became some of the most productive immigrants the UK ever had, and thereby he caused Ted Heath to sack Enoch Powell, our very own racist rabble rouser. OK he might have had thousands of people beaten to death and wrecked the Ugandan economy, but after the recent referendum I’m not sure that 52% of British voters wouldn’t have voted for him on that basis.

History will possibly eventually tell us whether Amin was better or worse than Trump.

The west has been “ok” with dictators if they keep things relatively stable and play ball with their wishes.

How do you measure that? Body count? Exodus numbers? Economic collapse percentage?

Further proof that it’s never been the message, but the messenger.

Oh yeah, that’s right…

I used to live in NW Ohio, which is why that particular clusterfuck wasn’t indelibly imprinted in my memory. Plus I movedout of state before Kaisich took office, lucky me.

I don’t believe most High School grads and dropouts, his primary supporters, actually use resumés. (and I copied and pasted to get your fancy punctuation)

You realize this needs to become a campaign poster now. Get to work.

Someone’s already (almost) on it.

You just agree a weighting for all the variables, thus variable Xi has weighting Wi and so on, and you do  Xi*Wi.

There are so many variables to choose from when it comes to obnoxious politicians that, as with quantum mechanics, we would need to know whether the weightings of the less significant evils meant that the series eventually approached a limit, or whether it diverges forever. But this is left as an exercise for the reader.

What I learned in the last few days is that Melania doesn’t ALWAYS squint, that she speaks 4 languages maybe better than her husband speaks English, and that she deserves some sympathy. She only ever does exactly what that dick-head tells her to do, her life would be untenable otherwise. Does he tell her to squint, I wonder?

Were the worst possible thing ever to happen I don’t think she could expect to see the inside of the White House. I expect it would be First Lady Bree Olson Trump, or, it doesn’t matter, (no offence against Ms. Olson) insert any young porn star’s name.

I expect D.J.Drumpf does’t do much sex anymore, if he ever did. But I think he might be getting ready for a trade in. I also expect that at least the impression of multiple improprieties would be an important part of what he would see as his job performance.

It was funny to hear a Republican apologist on TV making an “alpha female” thing out of this. He assured us the “attacks” on Ms Trump are simply how Hillary treats any woman who dares challenge her dominance.

To be fair, usually when rulers murder people in broad daylight in major cities their votes go up in the next election, or at least opposition goes down.

Think Berlin in the 1930s, Hungary in the 1950s, Prague in the 1960s, Beijing in the 1980s.
