Meme-obsessed gunman killed after opening fire in Dallas courtroom

Depends on how white they are.

Can we please stop publishing these assholes’ names and promoting their social media legacies? Yeah, even when there’s something as wacky as an anime pillow involved.

That he didn’t manage to kill anyone doesn’t make this incident joke fodder. And BB shouldn’t be pursuing SEO juice at the expense of decency.

The magazine has real rounds in it, though why you he is holding it seems stupid.

That was exactly my thought. An AK ffs.

Yeah I’m with suicide by cop, in full cosplay mode.

Ned Kelly seems to be the only one I know of who got this right - armor head to toe. Sure his vest here looks like it could take chest shots, but arms and legs totally exposed.

Quoted for emphasis.
Fuck this shitshow.

Ned’s arms and legs were unarmoured; that’s how the cops got him.

The research on this is pretty compelling. Let their names be lost to history and DO NOT DO THEIR WORK FOR THEM.

Armoring your arms and legs to the point where the armor does anything against bullets makes you clumsy, and tires you quickly. It’s not the same as with late-medieval and renaissance plate, which literally covered you from head to toe and required weaponized can-openers to defeat.

i’ve long known that the biggest difference between reality and fiction is that fiction generally makes sense. that said, i wasn’t offering a candidate for the most morally enlightened period in history, just the one i could think of that did have a certain internal logic to it as awful as it might have been. the current period isn’t any better from a humanitarian standpoint and makes very little sense.

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of bystanders and bad guys. And sometimes good guys who get mistaken for bad guys because that good guy happens to be black.

None made sense, in a “that’s reasonable” way, but most periods were light on the surreal crusaders with anime pillows.

Well, there goes the Internet’s whole raison fucking d’etre.

… but… but… but… but memes and “edgy” humor and all that online racism and flirting with fascism and Nazism is ironic and not at all true whatsoever and has never ever ever ever led to violence or even any other kind of real-world behaviour whatsoever! This is obviously a Big Government Conspiracy™, propagated by the freedom-hating, gun-hating, people-hating (and obviously evil) MSM!

Quick google and I already know it’s not him in that armour with a pillow.

Facebook post with that image on his profile used to imply it’s him is from 12th of November
There are posts on various sites (worldwide in many languages) from before that date that include this image.

he posted that picture to his timeline and said it was him. he might have been lying, but there’s a reason why that photo comes up in a discussion of him.

His facebook is down
The only screenshot of his facebook post that I could find with that photo has no text.
His upload is dated 12th of November
There are tens of uploads of that exact photo dated 12th of November all over the world (Russia, Spain etc.)
I was able to find 2 uploads dated 11th of November.

Actually just confirmed with a waybackmachine, he never claimed it was him, at least he didn’t say that in the post with that photo

There’s no real reason to believe it was him.

You’ve been clear as far as I’m concerned about “normality”. That (at least in the U.S.) includes the firearms and weapons photos, as long as the person isn’t showing himself to be too heavily invested in his collection as defining his personality and masculinity. The Fox News type political memes are also, sadly, normal, although those supporting Il Douche and his policies start taking us into the realm of the abnormal.

But posting activity that includes, say, 10% manosphere or racist/anti-Semitic or right-wing populist content indicates a serious problem with the person, especially if part of the rest of the content is weapons porn.

Well what the heck are the additive manufacturing people doing? Can’t carbon nanotubes sort this out?!
