I thought it was interesting too. Obviously not the most complex bass line in history (by a long shot) but the playing is very precise and contains some nuance around the pitch control and timing that belie its simplicity. Good playing, actually.

I’m afraid you are all objectively and subjectively wrong. These are the two best, funkiest isolated bass parts in existence:

Ain’t No Mountain High Enough - Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell (with vox, for you non-bass purists)
Makes me want to play Guitar Hero 2!
