This is only a “stopped clock” moment. Obrador seems bent on ruining any progress on fixing the Mexican economy, and notoriously tried to downplay the severity of the pandemic, much like some folks north of Mexico.

That is unfortunate. One would hope that this action was part of a larger trend, but that would be a fools hope I suppose.

AFAIK, this is the platform he ran on, but with some of the actions he’s taken it’s hard to say, sadly.
