Yeah, they were working the 420 angle, all right during the campaign. I do hope they follow through and declassify cannabis or remove it completely. It’s an herb, it’s called weed for a reason, and it is a gateway herb to an entire planet’s natural pharmacopoeia, a naturopoeia, if you will.
Cannabis seems like the world’s most useful wonder herb. There appears to be evidence emerging that cannabinoids (CBD) are effective in treating COVID-19 lung damage, no less.
How awesome that Mexico is full speeding ahead on removing the stigma of cannabis and helping their farmers and economy, too. The US can learn a lot from our neighbors.

Living in the foot hills of NC there used to be lots of farmers, mostly white, who would try and get away with growing a 1/4 acre or more of it. Once helicopter surveillance and identification came in heavy use a lot that dried up, or like you noticed moved to less patrolled areas.
