Deprogramming doesn’t have a good success rate, and if it involves forceful confinement of adults, highly illegal.
If they want to leave, then therapy can help.

I’m not sure what is worse, peeling the bandaid off all the Republican closet bigots, or wishing they had stayed closeted and civilized. Evey once in a while my mom spouts a bit of bigotry that appalls me, and all I can do is try to change the subject, 'cos she ain’t gonna change.

I wish they’d stayed out of power, but the people at the top of the GOP I think have decided that what matters most is retaining power and pushing their agenda through, and if that means aligning with fascist elements in their party and giving them a share of that power, they seem more than willing to do so.
