Milo Yiannopoulos speech at UC Berkeley canceled after campus protests

If the university thought that Milo presented a clear and present danger to its students, it would have refused to allow him a venue. It did not do so.

Actually, they used they used your own libertarian logic to allow other students to bring him to kick the hornet’s nest. Unless you think that sustained protests nationwide against Milo wasn’t something the University should take into account?

Pretty obviously a false-flag operation, where alt-righters bought some skinheads to throw firecrackers at police and engage in hooliganism. I think it’s obvious, anyway. Right? Prove me wrong!

PROVE THAT IT WASN’T SOROS!

Someone bought a copy of my hedgehog art book after I went to the last protest. People are saying Soros is paying protestors. Coincidence? None dare call it a conspiracy.

Also… “dangerous faggot”? Cute, says Coil from beyond the grave:

Are you now, or have you ever been, George Soros?

I have here in my hand a list of 205 George Soroses who have infiltrated the deepest ranks of the government.

I feel it is important to mention there was 1 arrest in what Milo and the GOP fans are calling a “riot.” 0 have filed grievances for assault, and despite the false rhetoric the vandalism and other crimes committed are not being pursued because it was a small minority of an extremely large crowd.

We are George Soros, and we have been paid to say it.

He’s wayyy too old. I doubt he’d have been there.

So no one here has anything to show that this guy incited anyone to violence?

Who? Milo?

If you’re really interested, spend a while looking into what his trolley army has done. He’s not an idiot, he never openly incites direct violence, but instead feeds the worst instincts of his followers, targeting individual and whipping up a frenzy of hate against them (and fabricating “evidence” to tar them and bring even more hate) to bring a reign of terror on whoever he decides to hate. The goon squad chooses to SWAT people, stalk their homes, swarm them on social media, and harass/intimidate them in ways that sometimes involve violence. Coded orders to the alt-right brownshirts aren’t direct incitations to violence, so you’re technically correct, though you’re also totally missing the point.

When someone “outs” refugees and releases their personal information to his followers, do you think it’s so they can send them Christmas cards?

When someone posts photos on Facebook before public appearances of graffiti that reads “LIBERALS GET THE BULLET TOO”, is it because he’s a fan of public art?

Don’t be naive.

I’m not so much missing the point as looking for something I can point to and say “This thing he as said or done is the reason people are so upset at him as to commit violence.”

that’s a good example and excuse me if I seem naive to you but here’s the thing - I have been speaking with people who are spinning this as leftist intolerance to other world views. They argue that the violence is proof that the liberal left is far more dangerous than Milo is.

So, I googled and searched and could find no specific articulable actions by him that might be used as an example of why he is so hated as to incite violence against him but found nothing. Then I came here and asked… I did not expect to be bashed as naive for asking questions but here we are.

I’m not sure mocking someone is going to be a good argument to present to the right that Milo is dangerous enough to justify violent protest.

These knee jerk and insulting reactions to an earnest question are disheartening since it’s the same kind of thing I’ve been making fun of when it comes from people on the right.

Outing a trans student by name at a university on stage during one of his appearances wasn’t enough?

He’s a provocateur – he loves to write stories on Breitbart and say things in the news to piss people off for fun. Here’s some titles of stories he’s written:

“The solution to online ‘harassment’ is simple: Women should log off”
“Birth control makes women unattractive and crazy”
“Would you rather your child had feminism or cancer?”
“Gay rights have made us dumber, it’s time to get back in the closet”

Or maybe fun quotes like:
“Blacks have the highest obesity rates in America at 47.8 percent. If Black Lives Matter cared about black lives, they’d be fire-bombing McDonald’s, not their local neighborhoods.”

“Black Lives Matter have the same objectives as the KKK…the world they want to build is not so different from the world David Duke wants.”
