One can do things and then watch the results happen. That is what I was recommending. That is what the people in Minneapolis did (back to the topic). Nowhere did I use the phrase “sit back”. Those are YOUR words, not mine.
A shame you didn’t say “We just have to take action and let things run their course without getting too crazy” to begin with. If you’d put in something like the bolded part to indicate that you weren’t just recommending passivity, the whole discussion could have been avoided.
I used “sit back” to point out the absurdity of equating “do things” with “letting things take their course” which, as you yourself now agree, are two different things.
Yes, that is a shame. It left the door open for people to twist my words. Note that I did draw a parallel to the Minneapolis folks. Which was ignored.
The article says he was the owner of the club, not just the lease holder.
In fairness, I initially forgot to type the word not in that statement, and the earlier erroneous version was the one @singletona082 replied to, so my typo might have caused some of his confusion about what I was saying.
There’s better bars in that town anyways. My personal favorites: Brit’s Pub, Hell’s Kitchen. Try the Walleye BLT!
This one had the best bar staff, though.
