I propose “Expublican”
Exceptions to not turning on Trump until after they decided to quit. I did say “that I’m aware of” so perhaps I missed Romney. Five points to you, I guess.
Trump would be expecting it to pay rent.
…on an aquarium claimed to be five times the size of the one the fish is in, which Trump doesn’t actually own, is leaking, and made of badly glued together acrylic, not glass.
The 2008 debates between Obama and Romney; eh … I’m not going to pain myself to rewatch, Romney came across as outright ignorant of idk; what it is like to be the other 98% of an adults in America.
I do recall broad and wonderful Romney sentences; that had -nothing- to do with the questions, or topic.
Obama simply wiped the stage with the guy.
The Obama : McCain debate was about the same. McCain just seemed obliviously removed from reality; and Obama tromped him too. Badly.
This could all be a republican absence of reality, expressed in a debate format.
Something I’ve been wondering so much, having now lived out here in South Korea for so long. South Korea’s political parties are always splitting, merging, and re-forming, with new parties lapping up enough votes to win seats in the legislative body. The branch that “split off” might become the new trunk of the Democratic party, eventually. Why does this not happen in the United States?
Because the major parties make sure it doesn’t. They have a stranglehold on power and refuse to let it go. We also do not have a parliamentary system that makes that more possible, unlike the rest of the world. We have a very different system that was not designed for political parties, and therefore hampers the growth of more. You can get some movement at the local level and in state legislatures but that’s really it.
