It’ll be interesting to see if this trend continues throughout the month, each day being a hotter average than the previous

Meanwhile, in Anchorage, AK, it’s been the coolest summer since 2008 and very wet as well. June had only four days over 70F.

There are odd little exceptions to the general increase in temperatures, like some of the winter storms that North America has been getting. Most of them relate to the fact that the Arctic air is uncharacteristically warm, and warm air moves around more than cold air, so it is able to spill out to other places where it would be colder than normal.
