We all know the context. It’s not like this is some random person on the street. We’ve been listening to him spew his hateful views and personal attacks for years.
“Okay”.
I just wish the far left were actually the decent people they said they were. I’m done with this conversation as I have absolutely nothing more to say. I’m sure you all will keep defending it though.
Thats too flattering. He looks like Lex Luthor in this image.
Kudos to beschizza for claiming that this is a “sartorial choice”. That’s some serious, world-class rationalization gymnastics.
I’m so, so, tired of this trend of suddenly holding individuals on the left to ridiculous standards.
The right can spew outright and deadly serious racism, misogyny, genderism and hatred, but people on the left aren’t allowed to point out the irony of Trump’s constant and outrageous criticisms by pointing them back at him without context.
We all make our own lines all the time. Black-or-white denies the entire richness of human experience, takes away our free will. Gray areas are where we thrive or fail. Our “last battlefield”, wouldn’t you say?
And mocking a misogynist billionaire oligarch bigot for his self-imposed haircut is somehow morally equivalent to attacking transgender people. Screw that noise.
He frequently makes unkind remarks about people’s appearance and body functions because he thinks it’s important for some reason. It’s an invitation for others to make similar comments about his appearance.
Hmm, like you just accused him of all manner of probably true, but unsubstantiated evil and cloaked it in gibberish to obfuscate the original point that your generally accurate sense of righteous indignation was, in this case, clearly a cheap, petty attack (richly deserved, but still petty and beneath you)? We all act like asses sometime, especially online, but you really seem to have a very hard time admitting it.
Edit to correct punctuation. ;~)
I saw the 666 tattoo on his neck.
Explain why Trump’s hair is not a sartorial choice. Have a go!
The best kind.
There it is.
And I just wish the far-right was as moral as they say they are. Instead of them being moralizing pricks who try to control everyone else.
I said I wasn’t saying more, but you are absolutely correct. I just want to be better than they are. Folks complain that they are sick of having to be held to ridiculous standards, when these are the standards we want others to fall into…I don’t reach these standards either…but I’m trying, and I’m glad when others remind me that I need to.
Ginger? Even when he was younger, it looked dish-water blonde at best.
No, it’s not.
Body shaming is about unfair ridicule of biological aspects that people generally are not able to control, such as weight, height or advancing age.
45 has a choice about how his hair looks… and he chooses to look like a hot fucking mess while deigning to talk massive shit about anyone who doesn’t kiss his ass.
Pick a different hill, yo; this one is futile.
Dude, don’t you see how something like this would get more respect than that poor muppet you’ve taped on your noggin?

Dude, he looks a dead ringer for Lex Luthor.
First thing that came to mind:
“Like an old box of wigs in which half the hair has been eaten off by insects”
3:45
No, it’s not.
But it is. As has been pointed out previously, people who wear a comb over do so because their body doesn’t do what they want or feel it should. The very definition of self-shame. Now, I have zero empathy for this monster and couldn’t care less when people take the cheapest shots possible, but this denialism an righteous justification is pure, uncut bullshit.
To wit: If someone decides to wear baggy clothes to hide their paunch or elevator heels to disguise their mismatched leg lengths, would you be making this same argument? How about a child cancer victim who wears a wig to school?
I’m not comparing X to Y
But you are.
Hairstyles are, as @beschizza put it, a"satorial choice". You can cut, dye, and/or style your hair, or choose to wear a wig or hairpiece. The proper comparison would be wearing a suit tailored with exaggerated shoulder pads and slimming lines, or wearing shoes with lifts and/or heels.
Mocking a hairstyle is petty and childish. But it’s mocking a choice, not something a person is born with and has no control over other than surgery. Haircuts are not equal to surgery.
