Despite not being the billionaire he claims to be, the man still has enough money that he can afford hair pieces that don’t look so unnaturally god-awful.
Sir Elton John is the same age and has been doing it for decades.
Attempts at emotional appeals or false equivalencies are a waste of time here.
Yes, I agree with you. But I also am torn, because he is so harsh, so judgmental, about women’s bodies, about black and brown bodies. It’s the hypocrisy, I think, that makes him feel like fair game. And the emperor’s clothes transparency of it too. We all know he’s bald under that sculpture of hair, why can’t he just be honest? I don’t support mocking anyone about their body, but I can’t get too outraged in this case.
Many see the comb-over hairstyle as a form of deception. In reference to The Dear Leader, this is just one of the ways he is deceiving us each day. When his deception is laid bare, it gives us hope that other deception he perpetrates will be brought out into the open as well.
It’s a puzzle designed to confound human perception, carefully constructed to slip between the Euclidean geometry we cannot avoid in our understanding of its form.
So Trump’s hair is a reverse Tardis? It’s smaller on the inside?
/-– This. And this chuckling long predates the presidency. His hair alone being in conflict with his self image, people have been guffawing about for at least 20 years.
Blockquote Explain why Trump’s hair is not a sartorial choice. Have a go!
Well, only if you count the amount of thread and stitching that’s surely involved!
The simplest explanation is that he went bald (because genetics) and wants to appear to still have hair (a desire that many many share). The same could be said of a chemotherapy patient.
Don’t get me wrong. I laughed. It’s funny. But let’s not rationalize it; it’s funny precisely because of who Trump is. We would view it as cruel if we didn’t despise him.
Also, his hair is a very visible reminder of his inability to trust experts - because if you have the luxury of Rich Person money, you can make just about anyone look pretty okay, as long as you trust your stylist / hairdresser / tailor / etc.
His appearance is just like everything else in his world - he can’t allow someone else’s better judgement to trump his own. The difference is that in this domain, the results are both extremely obvious and relatively trivial
Just desserts. Karma. Whatever you want to call it. This is a vile, hateful man who constantly mocks others for their unavoidable failings, while telling us how great, fantastic and wonderful he is. If he were a kind, humble human being, nobody would ever mock him, but he’s not. And he chooses every day to act as he does. It’s not like he woke up one day and was an asshole. He’s worked very hard to become the asshole he is today. What a man sows, that shall he also reap.
