I was initially a fan when I first saw this design but this kind of fuel economy is totally unacceptable for a modern vehicle that’s anything short of a Mad-Max-style War Rig.

The video showed that another very long train had just finished moving through the intersection in the opposite direction. Our impatient driver probably assumed that the gates were just slow to come back up. You can see him turn his head towards the train right before the impact.

White hot pipe bends.
Fuel/air detonations at inlet of pulsejets because… pulsejets.
Weld seams at bend joints. (Passed penetrant inspections… if any done?)
