It appears as if her daughter was born healthy. Perhaps she is still around.

Maybe, but unlikely. Myrtle died in 1928 at age 59, so that daughter was probably born no later than 1915 or so, and probably earlier.

Boy, I’ve been wanting another pair of arms - they’d really come in handy. Hell, I’d settle for extra legs, for additional stability on uneven terrain.

Eh, still worth it.

Granted, I know almost nothing about fetal development, but I am rather surprised that you could effectively swap genitals for legs, as if they were occupying the same development slot, as it were…

And gryphons and dragons and… (because wings are just modified legs, after all)

Response from my mother:

Not I. However, I DID go to school with a Marnee (or maybe it was Marnie) Corbin. Knew her pretty well. Classes together, Rainbow, etc. And it seems I “heard of” some kind of “circus freak” from Cleburne, but no details—not even gender or “freakiness” cause. By 1928 Mother would have been living in Cleburne, and I would have thought Daddy was, too. However, they were not the “kind of people” who would have discussed people who were “different.”

Given my mother’s age, if the Corbin she was in school with was related, she was probably a granddaughter.

ETA: No, I have no idea why my mother put so many words in quotes, lol.

It’s a slippery slope…

I could use a couple of extra arms on occasion, myself. Least of all when it’s a struggle to reach an annoying itch. Instead of genitals? Japanese hentai could still give one hope.

… not on the pinky side, but still useful

Call me back when it’s no legs and extra genitals.

I can fathom occasions where a gripping hand could be quite useful.
