The rightwing press and Tories certainly listened to a leading rabbi who was willing to speak out against Labour antisemitism (and didnât listen much at all to other UK Jews who disagreed with the idea that that should be a reason to not vote Labour). Though yes, perhaps trotting out that rabbi was indeed basically just another photo op.
I thought that the guardian had a trust or somesuch instead of ads.

Both, but mainly paid for by readers, not owned by one individual as is traditional, meaning their editorial angle is a little freer than the norm, if a bit muddled at times. Bless them, at least theyâre trying and donât hate on marginalised groups like the majority of British newspapers.
