New net neutrality legislation not needed, says White House

Another thing Obama bends to the right on.

Exactly the attitude I’ve come to expect from this president. Rather than enshrine net neutrality in law, Obama would turn it over to a thoroughly captured alphabet agency headed by politically appointed lobbyists. That makes it so much easier to gut fine-tune that neutrality in the future, to maximize profits protect the children / foil the terrorists / preserve our freedoms by putting them under lock and key..

Once we enact comprehensive cybersecurity legislation, won’t net neutrality be taken care of?

He asked facetiously.

This more of less guarantees that the Republicans will now push for a law. Br’er Rabbit politics.
