Derek Muller has dozens of excellent videos. I cannot say I’m a fan of the big TV-style production in this new one and am hoping it’s a short-lived experiment. Here’s a couple older ones that lack the splashy intro, drones, and Hans Zimmer BWAHHHHHMs:

What a roundabout way of getting to the point. It took until about the 17 minute point to find out why the water is that color.

Kazakhstan number one producer of potassium. Other countries have inferior potassium.

Somehow TV style narration has come to replace effectiveness with effectfulness, one reason for me to almost 100% quit that medium shortly after I got ‘onto the internet’ in the 90s. Someone please tell Derek that adopting this inferior, annoying and, as far as this episode’s subject is concerned, downright roadblocking mannerism

…what was I about to say… ahyes, it’s highly unscientific and illogical esp. after amassing an audience of exceeding eight meellion over the course of a decade(!).

Also he was not wearing his signature footwear in this one which I found disturbing and that much less of a pleasure to see.
