New York Times feature about butts

There’s not a great word for it. “Passes just enough light that one’s undergarment is discernible, but perhaps not completely identifiable, yet not truly translucent” would be the word I’m really looking for. “Sheer” is straight out, because that calls to mind the likes of stockings. How about “sold to consumer as opaque, but in reality is slightly translucent when worn if consumer purchases a size or two too small”?

I’m not sure whether you meant that in the same sense that I would answer with “Yes. Yes, I do.”

On the contrary I think that would merely cause “is-she-or-isn’t-she” speculation. This sounds more like reverse-psychology…

I’d say speculation is preferable than eliminating any doubt (“I see London, I see France…”) :wink:
