Seems like a dumb move if they do have sketchy connections. Those big companies are going to go hog wild with discovery in defending the suit.

Between this, Brexit, and Bolton getting the boot, I feel that the National Strategic Popcorn Stockpile (NSPS) is at serious risk of being dangerously depleted.

The scary shit here is that any of the judges appointed by the Dismal Cheetoh might take these charges seriously. If he can get the NOAA to lie for him when doing so was a crime, why would his other appointees behave any differently?

When discourse is at this level of crazy only the lawyers win.

Clinton, Rouz claimed falsely, gave antifa protesters $800,000 that “went toward things like bricks, hammers, bats, and chains.”

That is such a hilarious lie, though. Funding for… improvised weapons? How stupid does one have to be to buy into this shit? Voted-for-Trump level stupid, I guess.

(I’m now imagining a scene, an “official Antifa meeting,” where a pallet of bricks gets delivered. “Finally, we have our weapons, guys! Now we can go do some terror!”)

it’s impossible for him to fire judges once they’re confirmed by the senate

they don’t ever have to do anything he wants again

they may choose to, but there’s no structure enforcing it

I’m still waiting for George Soros to reimburse me for that Pussy Hat purchase in 2017.

One can only hope it gets that far.

But then why did Judge Trevor McFadden issue such a BS rejection of the House Democrat’s request to expedite House Ways and Means Chairman Richard Neal’s suit for Trumps tax returns under the 1924 law that clearly and explicitly gives the him the right to do so, no questions asked?

Just sayin’, judges’ job security doesn’t seem to be preventing several of them toadying to the current occupant of the White House.

Just generally hating Democrats is not the same thing as personal loyalty to the Leader

Both are bad, but the latter is worse

Discovery is a bitch. They should have just cut their losses.

Well - now we know their business model.

Where is the suit? Defamation can generally be moved to the defendents’ home, and IIRC Maddow still maintains a residence in Massachusetts. Or maybe New York. The thing is, if the suit can be moved to a State with a good SLAPP statute …

Weapons of mass construction! If only they hadn’t used up the concrete in the milkshakes… /s

Prediction:
Dismissed in motion practice.
OAN to pay attorney fees for Maddow and others under CA’s. anti-SLAPP laws.

I’d be shocked if they get any money out of this lawsuit; even if they had a case MSNBC can afford a lot more lawyers than OAN.

If anything they might just use the case to generate publicity to convince more rubes to become paid subscribers.
