No, I didn’t say that. Native Americans limit their membership to blood descendants of actual Natives because of the federal aid and scholarships available to Native tribes. If anyone could decide they were a Shawnee because they really like their culture, then any white person could collect aid or scholarships, yes?

Someones sex is not just decided by whether you have an X or Y chromosome. the foetus also needs to get the right hormones at the right time.

Nature gots it right about 99% of the time, but we are talking about the people where it doesn’t go right. There is evidence that Supernumary Phantom Limb syndrome exists, and I see no reason why penises and labias/vaginas are not affected in the same way (my personal experiences say that they are, but that is just anecdotal).

You cannot, no matter how hard you try.

Example: Iron Eyes Cody, the “crying Indian” in the famous 70s environmental commercial, was actually Sicilian. He not only played Native Americans on screen but lived as a Native American 24/7 for over 60 years, insisting that he was actually Cherokee, and worked to promote Native causes. And when he died, he was honored by Natives for his work, but they still made it clear that he wasn’t one of them.

However, if you are born with a penis but feel you are female, and decide to live 24/7 as a female, the fact that you have a penis does not matter. You can be a female. Gender is not the same thing as physiology.

I wish people would realize that everyone is nonbinary to some degree, in gender and in so many other ways. Our black and white categorizations of things that inherently are not really bothers me. It simplifies things for most of us, but leaves out people more towards the middle of the spectrum.

I think that many of them recognize the non-binary nature all too well, but end up acting out against the part that they were taught to hate – it’s those sexy gays that are causing these sinful impulses. i.e. refer to every reactionary homophobe that ends up getting outed.
