I hope everything works out okay…
Yes! In fact, they worked apples into a lot of the dishes that I ate. It was nice to get away from the big city for a change.
I watch lotsa vids from a Japanese youtuber who travels all over Japan, mostly via trains & ferries. He shows us all around the trains & ships, the cities & towns he visits, and hips us to what he’s eating.
He recently went to Aomori via a “vending machine ferry,” and ranted and raved about the delicious apple goodies.
His 1st channel is Solo Travel Japan, and his 2nd one is foodier.

Many places are doing this because of theft and laws that won’t prosecute theft under a certain amount.
If you steal it you’re stealing a $120 item and the police have to make an incident report.
That’s stupid enough to be true.
Especially since the ridiculous prices are still under $120.
Completely aside from this story, $120 for a tin of Altoids at Walgreen’s sounds plausible.
JFC!
Especially notable for the cross-cultural line:
“I’ve got more hits than Sadaharu Oh.”
I can’t tell if it’s really an ad for The Hair Cuttery, 70’s porn revival or a new Match dot com product for 'stache lovers.
