UK map lords at the Ordnance Survey have some big news for people with obsessive compulsive personality disorder or otherwise like everything to be neatly lined up.
Yes, for the “first time in history,” the OS says, magnetic north, true north, and grid north are about to align over Britain.
Heh. I had a snag reading the output from Zork because the readline stalled on the Zork prompt of “>” with no end of line, and I was getting the weirdest deja-vu.
I had almost the same problem with Zork almost 40 years ago when I was setting up a multiplexer to Datapac to be more efficient bundling text into packets.
That’s really cool. I’ve long been a fan of a-ha and feel that they are criminally underrated. (Well, at least in the US; Central and South America knows what’s up, and they have a huge following there.) They may have had their share of creative misses, stumbles, and in-fighting over the decades, but as a collective they are one incredibly talented trio of musicians.
I saw them perform in Los Angeles earlier this year and they were spectacular. Morten sounds just as great today as he did in the 1980s — he still has the same incredible vocal range, and can still nail all the highs. (And while I’m typically not one to comment on someone’s personal experience, I can’t help but note that even in his 60s, he is still one amazingly good looking dude, and surprisingly ripped too.)
