Those are mandatory stops for us when driving to visit family in NC and SC. Their milkshakes are the only thing that makes me cut back on my burger intake - gotta leave some space! Also, they are super thick - reminds me of this old Sinbad routine:

That’s why Wendy’s handed out spoons for their Frosty treat.

Probably not… we should just eat salads instead!

Oh yeah, their milkshakes are fantastic - and you get a ton of options. Overall, it is good fast food for a decent price… you really can’t beat it!

Actually Pig-Pen was part of a long line of characters created for Gen Xers who were different than their peers yet didn’t care about society’s approval. Add in Rudolph and Hermie, the Adams family, Pee Wee Herman, and others.

Carry on Pig-Pen.

Um… Pig Pen has been around since 1954… well before the first Gen Xer was born…

True, but all the art, shows, bands etc that gen x watched where created by people from older generations. Joey Ramone was born in 1951. Alex Cox (Repo Man) was born in 1954. The prime period for Pigpen put him squarely to be an example for gen x.

And Rudolph and Hermey were 1964. The ones watching that growing up - were Gen Jones.

No - Pigpen was born in 1945. Not even sure he’s a boomer?

The other one’s artist was born in 1922. You’re a flapper.

If anything, Gen Xers were influenced by Pig Pen, but I would say he’s a very boomer character…
