Chicago, as it’s never been seen:

I really have to wonder how this is playing out against SF’s new “microapartments” laws.

Fingers freakin’ crossed.

That’s very creepy.
The Italian pictures were stunning, but I’ve never been there.
I’ve walked a lot of those places (and driven by the rest). Even at 4 am on a Wednesday, there’s people. This has just gut-punched me.

I think it does have something to do with her idea of how voting “must function” in that sense. The idea that congresspeople would just stay home though, is rather absurd. All that would be needed would be to make remote voting an “emergency measure”. Something that is only relied upon in situations like the current one, with congresspeople expected to show up under normal circumstances.

Susan adressed a bit of that further down in the thread:

Is there something wrong with a log scale aside from some people not understanding them? It’s actually a good fit for rate of change.

Sounds to me like they need to strike right now, and the first demand should be that the person who fired this doctor be fired, along with everyone above him in the chain of command, for not firing him and fixing it yet.

Also, the name of the person who made the decision to fire this doctor is a matter of public interest, and should be in every article about this.

Update: They could do a great labor action without striking. They could jus all violate the same policy he did, and publicly name and demand the resignation of the person who made the decision to fire him.

I needed a haircut before all this madness started. It reached critical shag last week so, I asked my wife to play barber. She did a great job given the limited tools at hand. My barber might be out of luck when this is all over!

Same, had to do the home haircut thing. It’s a little lopsided, but much improved from shaggy!

I hadn’t even thought about that aspect until yesterday. I’ve almost always had long hair, and when I cut it short a few years ago I was mortified at how quickly I would wear out a shiny new haircut. Glad I’m not dealing with that anymore!

Hmm… are your emergency alert settings active? I have “Imminent severe alerts” checked in my SMS settings.

You can understand something and it still not help you visualize data.
