Difficult. Not impossible.
Always keep the receipt.
Honestly, I have come to the point where I almost feel bad for the ones who are āonlyā stupid and/or greedy. I keep imagining them waking one day and going āWait, am I actually evil?ā But that is very much almost. Damn them all.
Yay!
Eeeew! Who would do that, even in normal times?
Wonder if this is so drivers will no longer be outed as racists or childishā¦
Iām betting gamers were just frustrated that NASCAR drivers were angling in on their territory (and I donāt mean the streaming).
I shop once a week during the special hour before the grocery stores open to the general public. Itās legit: Iām very high risk for multiple reasons, and a whisker away from the old-age minimum as well. When I got to the checkout this morning, I apologized to the cashier because generally speaking at Trader Joeās people donāt buy an entire cart, full to the brim with even the shelf underneath full, and definitely not during the golden hour (old people donāt eat a lot, and often canāt afford to buy too much at a time). He was quite affable, so we started chatting while he was doing his process, and it came out that I buy so much because Iām feeding 5 young adults (age range 18-21). Barring triplets, thatās hard to do biologically, so I explained that only some are mine and the others are extras weāre housing because for various reasons they canāt go home to their own families. The guy saw that Iād gotten a few nice treats (vegan banana bread for the vegan, etc.) and asked if Iād gotten myself anything. I said no, not this week, but I did last week and I would try to remember to do so again next week. What did I get for myself? The little box of 4 chocolate covered sea salt caramelsā¦the cashier next door joined in and agreed that they were wonderful. My cashier said heād never had them, and I recommended that he try them. So, while the other guy came over and started bagging to help, he went to another kiosk, found what I was talking about, held it up and both the other guy and I agreed heād found it, and then he went over behind the customer service desk. He came out a minute later, and handed me the box. Said it was his treat to me, for taking care of others!!
So, my day has started quite well!! That was so sweet. I know TJās has policies that allow employees to do things like this, but stillā¦he didnāt have to.
Article about how one of the mini-russias is not dealing with the virus
But secretive Turkmenistan continues to hold out, with the government insisting that the country has miraculously been able to avoid the pandemic altogether while investing $680 million on horse care instead of the countryās deficient health care system.
Well, thatās one way to get your numbers down. Has Il Douche heard about this strategy?
Itās freaking Amazon. If anyone can get stuff delivered, itās them. How much irony can be supported here?
And has been pursuing it to the extent that he is able.
Ah, but you see, the answer is right there:
It is essential for us to work. Living indoors, eating regularly, having healthcare, those are privileges that have to be earned.
(yeah /s, but also notā¦)
The prison system seems to be sticking with the tried and true alternative:
Yup, that works too. You think that might have something to do with the abjectly pathetic testing rollout we had here? Or was it just incompetence? Oh, I know! Why not both?
