Honestly, I have come to the point where I almost feel bad for the ones who are ā€œonlyā€ stupid and/or greedy. I keep imagining them waking one day and going ā€œWait, am I actually evil?ā€ But that is very much almost. Damn them all.

Iā€™m betting gamers were just frustrated that NASCAR drivers were angling in on their territory (and I donā€™t mean the streaming).

I shop once a week during the special hour before the grocery stores open to the general public. Itā€™s legit: Iā€™m very high risk for multiple reasons, and a whisker away from the old-age minimum as well. When I got to the checkout this morning, I apologized to the cashier because generally speaking at Trader Joeā€™s people donā€™t buy an entire cart, full to the brim with even the shelf underneath full, and definitely not during the golden hour (old people donā€™t eat a lot, and often canā€™t afford to buy too much at a time). He was quite affable, so we started chatting while he was doing his process, and it came out that I buy so much because Iā€™m feeding 5 young adults (age range 18-21). Barring triplets, thatā€™s hard to do biologically, so I explained that only some are mine and the others are extras weā€™re housing because for various reasons they canā€™t go home to their own families. The guy saw that Iā€™d gotten a few nice treats (vegan banana bread for the vegan, etc.) and asked if Iā€™d gotten myself anything. I said no, not this week, but I did last week and I would try to remember to do so again next week. What did I get for myself? The little box of 4 chocolate covered sea salt caramelsā€¦the cashier next door joined in and agreed that they were wonderful. My cashier said heā€™d never had them, and I recommended that he try them. So, while the other guy came over and started bagging to help, he went to another kiosk, found what I was talking about, held it up and both the other guy and I agreed heā€™d found it, and then he went over behind the customer service desk. He came out a minute later, and handed me the box. Said it was his treat to me, for taking care of others!!

So, my day has started quite well!! That was so sweet. I know TJā€™s has policies that allow employees to do things like this, but stillā€¦he didnā€™t have to.

Article about how one of the mini-russias is not dealing with the virus

But secretive Turkmenistan continues to hold out, with the government insisting that the country has miraculously been able to avoid the pandemic altogether while investing $680 million on horse care instead of the countryā€™s deficient health care system.

Well, thatā€™s one way to get your numbers down. Has Il Douche heard about this strategy?

Itā€™s freaking Amazon. If anyone can get stuff delivered, itā€™s them. How much irony can be supported here?

Ah, but you see, the answer is right there:
It is essential for us to work. Living indoors, eating regularly, having healthcare, those are privileges that have to be earned.
(yeah /s, but also notā€¦)

The prison system seems to be sticking with the tried and true alternative:

Yup, that works too. You think that might have something to do with the abjectly pathetic testing rollout we had here? Or was it just incompetence? Oh, I know! Why not both?
