In case you’d forgotten, Whole Foods is owned by Amazon, which is owned by the richest man on the planet. But sure, forcing people to time-share their banked sick days and only providing PTO to people miraculously fortunate enough to actually be able to get tested for covid is the absolute best anyone can do and his employees should be grateful for that. 
(Incidentally, I’ve gotten 4 emails just today from companies telling me what their response plans are. Qdoba is doing the same “PTO to anyone who tests positive” thing, which is not good enough.)

Just apropos of nobody asking: while I should have stayed home earlier, I decided this morning I’m not going to work. I convinced the family not to come on Sunday. Meanwhile, nearly all Länder closed their schools. All communal facilities around me will be closed. We went out for shopping today, but that’s the last time for the next couple of days. We’ll stay put.
I hope everyone does. Holy hell, the bloody German chancellor tells everyone to reduce all social contacts to a bare minimum, as did the article above. And STILL I get texts from friends who meet up, sending a picture of four people (who all have family) drinking Corona “beer”.
Also, Jakob Augstein, related to one of Western Germany’s most renowned journalists, writes conspiracy theory bullshit in his weekly newspaper (an olf novel described a deadly bioweapon out of Wuhan for the year 2020, how “significant”). If I ever meet that guy, I am going to spit him in the eye and show him a bioweapon. What an arsehole.
