That fits with the notion that, in their eyes, it’s not actions that are good or bad, but people. “Good” people can do no wrong while “bad” people can do no right. What precisely determines a person’s goodness is malleable, since they don’t use actions to make that determination.
Oh, please!
Those delicate Snowflakes don’t know from ‘flagrantly offensive’ and ‘desecration’…
Now, if she had removed all the toilet paper in the stalls, & left a bible in each, then they might have cause to complain… even then, they would be the ones doing the actual 'desecrating*.

I’m surprised that there isn’t more outrage that a bunch of lay politicians are telling a preacher how to run her religion. The right fail to see so many actual attacks on religious freedom. They are happy to define when life starts rather than leave it to the spiritual leaders (or more appropriately each individual)
In prints they are often seen carrying large wooden clubs, which they liked to call “constitutions”.
Prior to Richard Dawson outing himself as a bigotted asshole (I mean, the signs were there, but I didn’t pick up on them until it became flagrant), I used to replace hotel bibles with a copy of The God Delusion. I was doing a lot of travel for work at the time and it soothed me.

That’s the bug and the feature of books like the Bible. It’s a huge collection of vague and poorly translated parables, full of arbitrary language that you can interpret any way you want. Whatever you want to believe, you can find a Bible verse that sounds like it supports you. It’s no different than something like Nostradamus in this way. It’s also increasingly how SCOTUS treats the US Constitution, disturbingly.
