Paralyzed, partially deaf-blind teen with brain tumor beaten bloody by TSA

“Your Honor, my client, the TSA, did not beat Miss Cohen. My client gently assisted Miss Cohen into a position of submission and compliance!”

Again, TSA, a bunch of a-holes, waste of time and money. But did they repeatedly hit this person?

Somebody needs a dictionary.

Beating,
a punishment or assault in which the victim is hit repeatedly.

Did they do that? I have read nothing that suggests that.

You might actually be right about that … which is part of the problem. When my mom’s ex-husband(*) was a prison guard in Indiana, he’d tell stories about how they’d get around some of the rules for when and how they could hit physically correct prisoners. Every time I heard one of these reports on the TSA, I think of his stories. Tripping a prisoner in a scuffle, such that they hit the wall or the floor was on that list of tricks. He also showed me how the guards would massage relatively minor injuries into bruises that looked much worse, so they could have photographic evidence for how the prisoners injured the guards while resisting correction.

I’ve never been sure as to which prison he was sentenced after he was busted for cocaine possession, but I’m actually hoping it was the one at which he was a guard. Of course, as long as he’s out of my mom’s life, I don’t actually care what happened to him.

(* - Yeah, I know most people would call him a step-father or something, but she didn’t marry him until I was 23 and he wasn’t even close to being a father to me, so … no, just no.)

In a parallel universe, your comment is #7 on this thread and the conversation took a productive turn that much sooner.

Ah, a fine example of humanity (apparently uncommon though…).

I think people are thrown off at the tinge of disappointment in Keanu’s otherwise flat affect

absolute power corrupts absolutely. They’re immune from reprimand and have pseudo life and death power over a traveler. Look at them funny and you’re missing your plane while being strip searched. I imagine time cleans out the more empathetic TSA agent and leaves behind the bullies. Because really, what “normal” person could tolerate having to frisk grandmothers, grope the wheelchair bound and in general just be a PITA for too long?
