The (sadly defunct) CDZA did “Evenflow” many years ago. I always though it was kind of cheating because at least half the words he sings are correct:
In spite of enjoying large portions of Pearl Jam’s catalog, I’ve always had a mental block with “Yellow Ledbetter.” In that I just don’t dislike it, but it makes me a little angry? Great riff, but the song sounds…drunk? Partly (or maybe mostly) because of the even-harder-to-discern lyrics, but it always felt rambling and three times longer than it actually is. Enough to make me change the station or turn off the stereo when it came on, back when terrestrial radio was a thing. But that’s just me.
That’s unpossible. The greatness of the song is completely unrelated to the lyrics, since no one can understand them anyway, there is no “official” version of the lyrics, and Vedder tends to change them every time he sings it. Which makes sense since he didn’t really write the lyrics so much as make them up on the spot. None of which takes anything away from the song. It’s a great song.

Xitter videos are obnoxious to embed, but here’s the YT one:
The LinkedIn names thing is rather cool.
I laughed out loud at both video clips. Then I went and looked up the lyrics. I am no wiser, nor better informed. Maybe there should be a “misheard lyrics” text site.
Wow. 30 years later, and Yellow Ledbetter is still yielding comedy gold
