surely, it would be unfair of us to expect Mike Pence to have an original thought or position in this or any other matter

His position has a range of motion available only to spineless creatures.

I love how he always makes his misdeeds sound like an accusation that he’s being wronged. His fucking pompous yet aggrieved tone of voice.

He could have told the truth—that sorting through thousands of documents is a daunting task and the National Archives only provides resources to the office of the POTUS to ensure classified documents are handled correctly while leaving the office of the Vice President to fend for themselves.

But of course then he’d be appearing to let Biden off the hook for doing the same thing (and worse, failing to do the same for Trump) so the truth was never going to be a viable option.

What’s bizarre is that such a footnote person as Mike Pence actually saved the United States from complete ruin by standing up to the mob trying to kill him, and certifying the electoral college votes. If he had tossed the votes, as most Republicans were pressuring him to do (including his boss, the President of the United States), there may well not have been a country on January 7, 2021.

It’s tailor made for a tongue-half-in-cheek musical about how such a dimwitted, clueless robot saves the entire country. Being There, as done by Parker and Stone.

“Standing up to the mob” is probably an overstatement. He knew he didn’t have the legal authority or the practical means to do what Trump’s supporters asked of him even if he wanted to.

Mark, why do you keep using MidJourney to make unrecognizable “portraits” of famous people?

Caricatures might be fun, but your images just look like regular renditions of some other persons.
