The phrase “circle jerk” comes to mind.
Don’t forget our pie floaters too!
When I read this, I instantly feared that “giving me the squeezies” was something that involved me clutching my sides whilst camped atop a toilet.
Monotony? Ramen can be an art form!
I never did ramen seasoning rails fortunately, that is hard core…but i can imagine the salty burn!
You are right there are some good ramen brands, and real fresh ramen is delicious, unfortunately the wholesale cases from costco/sams club were not any of those at that time. they had only one thing going for them, cheap. i did quickly learn how to make seasoned noodles instead of soup and add bits of meat and egg and peas. or eat them dry with powder on top, etc. still, you can only eat so many ramen meals in a row before your body wants to give up.
Me neither, but yopo came close to what I’d imagine.
My ramen is like my pasta salads - maybe 30-40% noodles and the rest filled out with goodies. The starch and sodium are just the glue which holds it together. A fave these days is the Mama brand vegetarian duck flavored noodles. Or otherwise buckwheat soba if I want something more robust.
My pizzas are more Mediterranean style, small rustic crispy things.
Considering how drunk I’ve had to be to get into one of those, I can barely remember them…
Hot Melton Mowbray pork pie and mushy peas. Supper of champions. Believe.
How can anything duck-flavored be vegetarian?
Mock-duck?
Duck milk?
Mmmm, artificial duck flavouring.
Aaaaaand…
@othermichael wins the Monty Python Reference Award during this round! congrats on your lifetime supply of Anthrax Ripple!
I… what?
Mock-duck is a real thing.
Which I had heard of, vaguely, but did not know was inherently vegetarian:
What Monty Python reference am I missing?
Mock Frog of course
There’s a Pizza Hut close enough to work that I might just buy one of these for me and my co-workers to boggle over.
