There hasn’t been a Pope who used anything other than Form III (Soresu) since the Reformation. I don’t mind a little creative license, but this is totally game-breaking.

You’re kidding, right? Casting a former pope as a Sith is entirely appropriate, although Pope Palpatine fits the bill better, at least for optics.
