Probably the most common demand I see from directors/ choreographers is for the dancers to smile more. So certainly it seems to be the prevailing opinion of the people in charge of musicals.

The real crime here isn’t the director asking the performers to smile but rather the mom posting video (presumably without permission) of her kid.
Moms are always to blame… /s
But good to know you have the details about whether or not she had permission to post the videos of her kid… Maybe you can post evidence?

Maybe there isn’t a crime. Maybe it’s just a cute touching video about a girl driving trollies around her mom over a relatable frustration towards a statement that most girls hate hearing by that age, whether it’s “the one time it’s true” or not.
