I’m no drummer, but is this similar to how membrane keyboards duplicate the feel of a mechanical switch keyboard?

Haptic feedback motors probably give them a reasonable sense of where the virtual drums are. But I don’t know, I like hitting stuff, even if I’m just drumming on my dash board. (and annoying everyone around me as an added bonus)

Yeah but the most important feel is between ‘hitting the rim and the skin’… this is both a true statement and something I wouldn’t circulating as a personal opinion on the interwebs!
