Is this another method of pining for the fjords?

As I’ve mentioned in another thread, our neighbors have a parrot that spends the winter in their bedroom. It spends the summer on their front porch, regaling the neighbors with the bedroom sounds it learned over the previous months. “Ah, ah, ah, uh, uh” in a perfectly-pitched voice.

It’s disturbing.

And the woman chained in the basement curses those birds every day.

I was once helping my mother at her horse pasture, which bordered on a residential nursing home. We heard a woman screaming for help, so I ran across the muddy field, climbed a barbed wire fence, and then climbed a 7 foot cedar fence to rescue someone in dire peril. It was a goddamn peacock! The fucking bird sounded exactly like a toothless old woman screaming, “Help me! Help me!”

I wonder how many people would have been shot dead by now had it been American police involved?

This parrot deserves all the votes - and possibly its own sitcom.

That parrot is an avian porno soundtrack. I can hear it from 5 houses away. I’d rather not. Honestly, the first time I heard it I thought someone was having sex outside in my side yard. Blech.

If the guy has rainbow lorikeets, as per the photo, I pity him and everybody in the immediate neighbourhood. Babysat one once…
