The female gator has gained about 0.3 grams, or 0.01 ounces, according to crocodilian enrichment coordinator Savannah Boan
I’m guessing they meant kilograms.
Hmmm… Jack doesn’t seem to be the type to nuke a rejection out of spite…
My daughter found this little guy during our walk today.
We let it go near a little stream near our house. It scrambled straight to the water then chillaxed there.
Mrs. Seizure kitty is going on a road trip later this week to the neurologist
Still no seizures but she is getting really cranky and picking fights with the other kitties which is way out of character for her. Hopefully it’s just a medicine adjustment.
We put up some Halloween/Fall decorations including a very realistic cat statue.
Here’s that statue napping on a heated bed.
This is our other teenager.
Old Man has been getting a lot of baths lately because he’s still having litter box troubles. He goes in this week to his doctor to see if it’s something easy to fix.
They go back to the shelter tomorrow
The big boys (left and center) did a great job showing little girl how to cat and not be so scared. The goofy boy in the center still loves to nurse on earlobes. I hope whoever adopts him will allow that.
Such beauties!
I’m joining you in wishing them the best forever homes!
Good news! Broken Bob (mostly called B. Bob or Billy Bob or Rrrroberto, since he’s not broken anymore) will be going to live with Boika. Our friend will have two relatively large fuzzy black kittehs. Boika has been getting more independent, so she will have a new clingy boy to give her loves.
(Sometime in the last month or so B. Bob decided that other cats are ok and can be friends.)
Doesn’t matter, goats are cool and more of them around can’t hurt.
I think it’s a wasp snacking on a bit of leftover bee while sitting on my elbow. I mean, I’ m pretty sure about the ‘wasp’ part and positive about the ‘elbow’ part.
Old man kitty got Gabba to help with his vet visit today. He decided when he got home he couldn’t be bothered to stand up to drink
Sad stuff
He’s had nasal discharge from only one side of his nose for 2 months. The antibiotics our regular vet gave us didn’t do anything. He visited a specialist vet today and she is having his blood tested for fungal infections and viruses and bacterial infections. She really didn’t seem hopeful. He probably has cancer in his sinuses. The only way to get a definitive diagnosis is to put him under general anesthesia and to get a CAT scan and possible scope and biopsy. Because he is 16 years old, has chronic kidney disease, and a mild heart murmur, we are very hesitant to get that diagnosis done. In truth, at his age, the treatment for any kind of cancer would be very very rough on him.
I hope it’s something like a fungal infection. We could give him medicine, Even though some of the medicines take like 4 months, and he would be better.
For right now he doesn’t seem bothered very much. He finds the sneezing and the discharge annoying but he’s playing and cuddling and eating and drinking just like normal.
