My wife makes our possums peanut butter sandwiches.
Busy times at the pond. The coots are back:
As are the goosanders:
Also a passing swan accompanied by a very loud flock of black-headed gulls and a random duck:
And the starlings:
While these guys have always been here:
Getting to be kind of an old dog now, but still happy to walk 5k, fetch herself into this state, then turn around and walk 5k back.
The old man who gets away with murder because he’s so old and sick and deaf and going blind.
My wife is in the craft room sewing, he tried to help her but then he tuckered himself out. That’s not an expensive laptop or anything.
The second one is 2006, the year we got him, our daughter found him on the highway after he was hit by a car.
Nuthatch?
That’s what I thought first time Baka posted photos of this bird, but I believe they told me it’s a bananaquit!
Just look at it!
Delightful creature.
Its always a Bananaquit when i ask!
This guy has been visiting. I totally did not shout “I just want a photo!” after it flew away.
Some gratuitous fluff
You get such great bird shots! They always fly away from me and I’m usually not patient enough to sit and wait for one to get close
Thank you. Muito obrigado.
Can you keep a secret? These birds are also running away from me. Unfortunately I missed my ninja training classes and I can’t sneak through the trees. Sometimes I get lucky and I manage to find some uninhibited bird that likes to pose for my photos.
He posed just right on this gorgeous spring evening. Our last feral was sitting in the back watching him because they don’t get along. This little guy owns the yard, he’s been with us for 4 years. He was born in a house I put up in the tree. We know it’s the same guy because he has a small patch of white hair on his backside.
That first one: about to molt, or was it a little too cold that morning?
