Yes. Bem-te-vi is such a common and popular bird here. But people don’t keep them as pets.
I usually look for the name of the animal in english because there are a lot of people from Canadá, US and Europe here and I think It would be nice share info on them.
Does this call sounds like an intelligible phrase in english for you?
Old man has not been eating regular no matter what we try. This evening he kept begging for some our chicken dinner. He didn’t want the chicken, he wanted the potatoes and butter.
Mr. Feral wants to play with him so bad, old man really wants nothing to do with playing but he eggs him on by wagging his tail in his face.
We chased him off and old man was like “where’d he go”.
The little adventuresome kitten I saved from falling off a wall did not make it. The infection was too much for them, and the vet couldn’t do anything more.
However, there is good news. We found two more kittens hiding amongst the junk. I managed to grab one by the leg and they’re in my apartment now, safe and sound. The other one was too slippery, so Luis and I plan to clean out a lot of junk from the corner and take it away tomorrow if his brother can lend his truck. Hopefully, when we do that, we can catch the other one.
The two kittens here are improving, and I’ll post another photo when their eyes are better.
I’m feeding them some kitten food because they’re wanting it, but they’re also getting milk from mom.
Dulce and the kittens went to the vet today for another injection, all three are doing better.
I took Dulce outside with me and sat in a chair for a couple of hours to see if she could locate the last kitten, but no dice. We never heard a peep, despite Dulce calling out for them. The veterinarian thinks it would have been difficult for them to have survived for three days without mom. I wish we could have heard them a couple of days sooner.
ETA: The two kittens are a boy and a girl. Still waiting for their eyes to clear up before I take a photo.
I will try later. Currently, I need to take them to the vet for another shot and then come back to clean up kitten poops. Feral litter training does not recognize physical boundaries.
