Hablas perro? Parlez Vous chien?
This is our feral, he’s only been in the house for about 9 months after 3 years outside. My wife believes, after asking the googles, that he is a Blue British Short Hair or at least has a lot of the breed in him. The description of the breed says loyal and loving but not a lap cat.
We disagree about the lap cat part.
He still gets put in his own room at night because he keeps trying to play with our old sick cat so we don’t like to leave them together when we can’t intervene.
It’s really cute, around 5:30 in the evening we just say time for bed and he gets up and walks into his room and gets in his bed.
Not a great pic, but these guys just showed up under my hanging tray feeder. Not the birds I was intending to attract, but I’ll take it! 7 in this flock of males. The photo doesn’t do justice to how large Tom turkeys are! Living dinosaurs, for real.
Make mine a double:
Got these guys on the new trail cam.
Now that there are 7 coming around, we moved it to a new location hoping to catch them all.
What is notable about this short video is not so much the image but the sound. A little, probably Anna, male hummingbird was diving back and forth to impress a female and then went up really high and performed a final dive. The sound that you hear was not produced by his lungs and mouth but by his tail feathers, as they were deployed at the bottom of the dive. If you freeze the frames, you may be able to see him entering at the top left corner and diving behind the oak tree, coming out at the bottom right.
PORTAL!
Just look at MEEEEE!
