The orange one is nicknamed truffula cat. His fur feels like dandelion fluff or cottonwood fluff. He will also let me bury my face in his fur. When we got him, he looked like a short hair kitty but his fur kept growing in longer and longer and poofier and floofier.
The dark one’s belly fur feels like silk.
We are very lucky neither cat is prone to matting! Brushing can only do so much with all that fur
Ha! We have found that even with a freshly washed cloth mask, we are doing same every time we go grocery shopping, but without the angels singing that happens when you do it one on one.
Today a gold crowned kinglet decided it wanted to introduce its body to our patio door at a very high velocity. Mrs. Ficus saw it go down and thought it was dead at first, but after further observation it looked to be just stunned and otherwise uninjured. After 30 or so tense minutes, it finally fully “rebooted” and was able to fly away on his own.
