Uh, how is this product akin to Irwin Mainway’s Bag O’ Glass?
My toddler nephews regularly get lured to the potty with the promise of iPod time.
How is this “the worst” or even “bad”?
(Now, if it were equipped with a Surface® I’d agree with you-- Microsoft slam.)
This is indeed a travesty. Where’s the adult-sized model?!?
Should have some sort of composting/ammonia-fuel-cell-power-source option to attract the Green crowd.
Have you checked SkyMall?
Edit:
Not sure if it is available via SkyMall, but add a cup-holder to this item and combine it with a nice heated bidet seat, and you can have your adult throne:
Edit: just noticed that this is made by the same company as the potty chair, CTA
No, the worst gift is a drum set. It has always been a drum set, and it will always be a drum set. Know some parents that you want to hate you? Give their child a drum set.
Cory posted it in 2009: http://boingboing.net/2009/05/07/wowpod-a-self-contai.html
I completely agree. iPad time as a reward for sitting on the potty doesn’t seem like a terrible thing. iPad time for babies who are two young to sit up on their own seems much, much worse:

This is for drunk executives, right?
seems more like knee-jerk apple hate masquerading as indignation from technophobes to me.
The linked blog isn’t who declared it the worst toy of 2013. That would be Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood.
I’m amazed they didn’t consider the fecal contamination/transfer angle with this. E. coli, anyone?
Great way to quickly introduce children to the joy of tingling, numb, sleeping legs.

A great blog with tons of stuff much worse than this…
Drum set wins.
Partly because if I accept it then the worst gift has been constant for more than 8000 years.
My Father threatened me with buying his grandson a drum, I did not find it funny.
Looks like this “blog” makes a living with amazon clicks…
E.g. www.reasonsmysoniscrying.com/post/68777992571/concerned-i-was-over-sleeping-my-caring-and-sweet (btw if someone can explain me the 100 “likes” under that post :-S ?!)
I had a vague recollection of an even worse one… Finally rifled through my download folder during my afternoon tea…
That’s just…I don’t even…I think that image is exactly the one that child’s parents will be looking for when he finally snaps.
I assume that it is intended for paralyzed/etc children (at least I hope that is the reason for the restraints)
For once, I don’t think this has anything to do with Apple.
