You know I was VERY late to the party with the movie, only first watching it like 6-7 years ago. Overall I found the narrative/plot to be a bit disjointed, but I don’t think that is why anyone watched the movie and we are all there for the music. I am sure a musical would be really fun.
I always thought that his Symbol album had a sort of plot line throughout, and it made me want to know more. Some fantastic songs on that album.

Oddly, Purple Rain is the least suited of Prince’s 3 films to being made into a stage musical. Graffiti Bridge almost looks like a stage musical as it is.

Not sure about this. Hope they don’t try to make it “family friendly”. We don’t need another Hairspray.
