And that is precisely why I think his version of Chandelier is the truest version. It’s a depressing-as-hell song when you really listen to it. It shouldn’t be a romping club anthem. It’s about a girl who has so little self-worth that she’s drinking herself to death.
Haley is just so…wow
Sia is a pretty compelling singer in her own right, i am a fan but i do feel that the meaning of her songs do get lost under her performance. The Puddles rendition is more raw and puts focus on what he’s singing.
This was written by Tears for Fears and released in '82, don’t know where you get the Lorde reference? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFsHSHE-iJQ
My daughter is a well known Burlesque performer in the UK, been touring the world for over 10 years. Every year she gets an email from Britain’s Got Talent asking her to appear on the show. Lourde: Royals
Mad World: Tears for Fears (or Gary Jules version from the Donnie Darko soundtrack)

I’m partial to Folsom Pinball Wizard Blues.

Nick Mason shared his version of “Wish You Were Here” a few weeks ago and I heard of him then.
I have also never heard of Puddles. I’m online pretty constantly, but somehow I missed him. And honestly … not my thing. Nice voice, though.
