Here is a clip from an NHK program called, “Gen Hoshino’s Music Story.” Usually, the host Gen hosts two music experts cast as Muppet-like puppets who talk about a musical topic frankly for an entire 30-minute episode. In the most recent episode, one of the Puppet Performs John Cage’s 4’33" a legendary composition that often entertains, usually annoys, and sometimes bores the audience it is performed for.
In the past Boing Boing has feature the real John Cage performing Water Walk on I Got a Secret from 1960, but I think this segment is truly something special.
